Biography
Born in Matera, on the 26th May 2000, Daklen Difato began studying piano at only 7 years old; at 8 years he’s started to attend the Conservatory of Music "E. R. Duni “ in Matera, where he graduated in 2014 at the age of 13 with a grade of 10 honors and mention.
In 2011 Giorgio Napolitano, the Italian’s Republic President, gives him the Gold Medal and Honor Certificate of "bishop of the Italian Republic" for "outstanding achievements in Music.”
On the 4th November 2010 he was awarded in the “Italian Excellences Day” by the Education’s Ministry, University and Research and the National Academy of high schools in Rome.
At the age of 20 he received his first position as principal piano teacher at the "U. Giordano" Conservatory of Music in Foggia, where he currently continues to serve.
At the age of 22, he graduated in Aerospace Engineering with a grade of 110 with honors/ 110 at LA SAPIENZA University.
Despite his young age, he managed to get to know himself in the National and International level: making his debut on the International stage at the age of 9 years, playing in a concert in the United States of America as representative of Italy at the Italian’s Embassy in Washington DC, with thepresence of distinguished members of Washington Opera, the Library of Congress and the politicians, including Nancy Pelosi a speaker of the White House.
He honors a busy concert schedule with Associations, Foundations and National and International Institutions (Edinburgh College of Art - Reial Cercle Artistic de Barcelona - Camerata Musicale Barese - Ministry of Education, University and Research - Foreign Ministry - Ministry of Culture - Centre des Musiques Arabes et Mediterranees - Musikalische Schatze im Schloss Wolfsburg - Musee Ennejma Ezzahara - Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe - Aberdeen International Youth Festival- Europol …) and playing in many places, like Scotland, United States, Germany, Holland , Spain, Tunisia, France, Israel, Australia, Latvia… in Washington DC , Barcelona , Lyon , Tel Aviv , Nice , L’Aja , Wolfsburg , Tarragona , Edinburgh , Rome, Ennejma Ezzahra , Milan , Friburgo , Aberdeen , Naples , Melbourne, Sydney, Riga …
The 24 March 2009 he performs at the piano on Vatican Radio, after hard selections for the 4th edition of the project "Conservatives in Concert" in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, University and Scientific Research.
He is been a guest on many occasions, as a talent of the Piano, like the TG1, TG3 and other RAI and Mediaset broadcasting.
